Real-World Breaking up Advice

Real-World Breaking up Advice

by Cheryl Pierce

If you have spent any time grazing the net for relationship problem
advice, you've likely run into plenty that was just plain impractical.
Thoughts like taking your sweetie for a weekend get-away or cooking a
homemade epicurean meal plausibly do work great, but not everybody can
do those things. What is worse, they miss the point. A capital
relationship is founded on how close you are with each other, not how
much you spend. Fortunately, though, there are a lot of ways you can
initiate improving your relationship that don't require a lot of time,
money, or talent.

Honour one another

This is 1 bit of advice in love relationship you can live by. It
sounds so uncomplicated. If you love someone, you naturally treat them
with kindness and value, right? Well, that's commonly true when you
only see that person occasionally, but when you live with each other,
it's simple to forget.

The remedy? Pick someone you deeply respect, whether it's your
grandmother or your favorite professor, and don't say or do anything
to your mate you wouldn't say or do to that person. If you screw up
(we all do it), do the right thing and apologize. Remember, sometimes
just one uncaring argument can end a relationship.

Support each other

Have you ever felt exited about some swell idea you had and rushed off
to share it with a close friend only to have that friend act ho-hum or
even worse, start putting you down? Well, don't do the equivalent to
your better half. When your partner shares their goals and pipe dreams
with you, try to at least say something positive even if you don't
like the thought.

After that, it's hunky-dory to spot out major blemishes in a plan, but
do it softly and constructively. Something like, "So you want to
become a teacher, huh? I bet you'd be outstanding at it, but teachers
don't earn much, do they?" is thoughtful, yet brings up a significant
point.

Once they've resolved to take the plunge and try for a major
achievement, though, your support or lack thereof could make or fail
the relationship.

Learn to let go

When your collaborator does something you find annoying, think twice
before you impart it to their attention. Is it something they can
easily switch or would it require a major personality overhaul? If in
all honestly, you can't see your mate changing without years of
nagging, you have the option to either put up or break up (or nag for
years, if you are into that kind of thing). When you opt to miss it,
don't bring it up even during an argument.

Think Back, this kind of acceptance and permissiveness is often one of
the things older married mates cite as a reason for their success.

Whether you're yet in that giddy, falling-in-love stage or you've been
married for years, there are some matters about relationships that
never change. Value, support, and a little allowance are just a few of
those things. The safest advice in love relationship help you bring
more of that outlook into the way you deal with your truelove.

Fracture Plating

Fracture Plating

by Jonathan Blood Smyth

Because of the large number of locations where fractures occurs and
the different bones involved there is a variety of plates available.
The dynamic compression plate or DCP allows a sliding technique to be
used because of the screw holes being angled away from a central
point. Once the screws are inserted and tightened they apply an
inwards compression force, bringing the fragments into stronger
contact. The ulna and the ankle lateral malleolus are fixed with thin
plates of about one mm in thickness which can be shaped to the area
required. Fractures close to a joint need specially designed plates to
facilitate fixation and reduce impingement.

Ninety-five degree angled plates are typically used in fixation of
fractures of the upper femoral areas so that the normal alignment of
the bone can be restored. Surgeons need to be three dimensional
thinkers to insert this kind of fixation and accurately recreate the
anatomical relationships in the area. Pelvic and acetabular fractures
are more often fixed with reconstruction plates as they are thinner
than dynamic compression plates and more easily mouldable. Fractures
often occur close to or just below the prostheses of joint
replacements and they may be fixed by bigger plates and cerclage
wiring.

High levels of fracture stability can be provided by compression of
the fragments and a good restoration of anatomical alignment by the
fixation. If firmly stabilised and without any fragment gap then the
fracture will heal by primary healing. Absorption of the dead bone at
the site of fracture occurs by the action of osteoclasts, with blood
vessels growing into the region and then bone producing cells
proliferating. Disruption of the blood supply by the plate can produce
some osteoporosis under the plate, leading to reduced bone strength
from this and the screw holes once the plate is removed, necessitating
careful decisions about the amounts of force to be applied to the
area.

In normal fixation using a plate the area is opened up and the blood
clot is removed and the fracture fragments are restored to the best
anatomical alignment possible. After a fracture the blood supply
through the bone has been interrupted so the main blood supply around
the fracture comes from the periosteum, the bone membrane lining. It
is essential that this membrane is not disturbed or stripped off in
the operation as this could reduce the blood supply to the fracture
area and delay healing. If unstable fractures with many fragments are
to be fixed then a plate which bridges across the gap can be used,
with limited operative exposure. It is fixed to the major fragments
and works by keeping the bone length, alignment and rotation but
cannot suffer much in the way of load.

The Less Invasive Surgical Stabilisation plating system (LISS) is a
modern fixation system which limits the contact between the metal and
the bone, lowering the risks of the blood supply in the damaged area
becoming compromised. These designs are more mouldable to the bony
contours and have the ability to apply locking screws, allowing these
designs to keep the desired bony alignment whilst simultaneously
managing to resist significant forces during the period of healing.
Choice of these newer designs is indicated in managing fractures of
the end of bones such as the radius, humerus and femur.

Less unstable fractures such as of the humeral, ulna and radial shafts
have room to fix more easily and unite well with normal techniques.
Locking screws are used where the options to fix are limited or the
bone is osteoporotic. Locking capability will likely be the default
option as plating develops and the costs, now much higher than
conventional screws, reduces. However, if malunion occurs with
conventional plating and the fixation needs to be revised the expense
of the newer locking systems looks less prohibitive.

Nails

It was in the 1930s that Kuntscher refined the intramedullary nailing
technique which then became the treatment of choice for shaft
fractures of the femur. Humeral and tibial fractures as well as
femoral breaks nearer the bone ends were the next progression. Early
joint movement and weight bearing walking is allowed by this.

Understanding Adolescent Bipolar Disease

Understanding Adolescent Bipolar Disease

by Ken P Doyle

Some terminologies used by people to call bipolar are a medical
condition or morbidity, bipolar disease, bipolar illness, bipolar
disorder and bipolar symptoms.

What is a Disease?

According to the English Dictionary, a disease is A pathological or
medical condition of mind or body. On the other hand an Infectious
disease is the presence of pathogenic microbial agents. These viruses
are called prions which are a known abnormal protein, bacteria, fungi,
protozoa and multicellular parasites. If an infection does cause a
clinically impairment of normal functioning, it is considered a
disease. Of all forms of disease which are non-infectious the most
popular are diseases caused by genes, cancer and heart disease.

To be Clinically Impaired

When adolescents are hit with bipolar disease, one of the most obvious
signs and growing evidence is that individuals have mental
impairments, even during periods of symptom remission. Bipolar disease
falls in the impairments category like Alzheimer dementia and
schizophrenia, but they are not as severe.

Mentally Impaired

A big number of patients complain of neuropsychological problems (a
psychological processes and overt behaviors linked to the brain). And
it is not clear how common are adolescent who are mentally impaired by
bipolar diseases. There is a possibility that neuropsychological
impairments may be more widespread, because adolescent bipolar
sufferers do not complain of cognitive or mental problems.

Time Frame for each Episodes

What is the time frame for each episode to occur in a person with
bipolar disease? We are all different so there is no time frame in
this ongoing illness. It can go from manic to calm to depressive to
calm again. For some it can be 2 days manic than 3 to 4 weeks all good
calm and normal and 5 days depressing and 1 week of calm and normal
again. This bipolar disease can last from a few minutes to one whole
year with some experiencing "normalcy", which is a lack of problematic
symptoms. Other Individuals can experience periods of double or mixed
episodes in which symptoms of depression and mania are either present,
or a person may transit from one episode to the next without a
symptom-free period.

Important Tips

1.Alcohol: Take extra precaution with liquor or drugs.

2. Promiscuity: Sexual libido especially when in the manic episode can
be high to very high.

3. Medication: finding the right combination of drugs can be difficult
for doctors.

4. Suicidal: Especially when depressed patients will tend to be
thinking of death and be suicidal.

5. Forcing: Do not force patients to do something they do not want.
You may find yourself facing a tiger.

6. Clarity: The clearer the symptoms revealed to doctors the easier
for them to diagnose.

Disheartening

For many mental health conditions, symptoms of bipolar can overlap. A
lot of people with adolescent bipolar disease have to be amazingly
strong. The darkness that sometimes wells up out of people struggling
with bipolar illness can be incredible. But even more difficult is the
sharing of hopes, dreams and love with someone like this and then
watching the person you love melt away and replaced by a completely
different stranger.

Final Words

Bipolar disease cannot be cured but it can be controlled. For those
adolescents suffering from this bipolar disease it is important they
and their families be surrounded by a good support network in those
difficult times. More importantly, medication must be taken at times
allotted so the disease does not add stress to others and also break
up existing strained relationships.

True Love In Expression

True Love In Expression

by Johnnie S Laney

We all can relate to true love in a private way, as just an inner
emotion. We can also try to keep it safe by keeping it inside, hiding
it from the object of our love. It can feel vulnerable and risky to
show it openly to the object of our affection.

But what if you looked at love like a lighthouse? A beacon to
illuminate not just our life but the life of others? What if true
love was meant to be given away as much as possible? A feeling that
is supposed to be expressed in direct actions as often as we could, to
light up the world around us?

What you may find is that love expressed and given freely is
replenished easily. It is not something that needs to be kept inside
and kept safe. When you feel true love, give it away, express it, act
on it, and dont be attached to what you get back.

So the insight here is to encourage you to turn love into action as
often as possible. Express it. Give it away. Show your true love.
It needs to be shouted from the rooftops rather than kept safe in the
basement.

How can you do this? There are many ways, but one good way is to
listen. Listen to your mate or love like your life depends upon it.
Focus completely on what they are saying. Listening in this way is a
powerful gift to give to another person. Making them feel heard and
understood when they share with you is a very generous and nurturing
act.

Another powerful way to turn true love into action is with direct eye
contact. Drink them in, looking them right in the eye, as you
converse. The eyes are the windows to the soul. Amazingly, studies
show that direct eye contact fades in relationships over time. Don't
just look at the area of the eyes, make direct eye contact and see how
that feels for you and your mate.

Then, of course, there is the direct action of touch. Not just in the
bedroom, but find ways to touch out in the world. Hugs and/or resting
a hand on their shoulder. People are often touch starved, so
un-starve them!

Express true love with these simple actions. Listen. Look. Touch.
There are many more ways to turn your love and light into action, but
this is a powerful foundation. Shine your light of love into the
world and see what difference it can make for everyone around you.

Make Your Event Something to Remember.

Make Your Event Something to Remember.

by Chuck R Stewart

In Dallas, team building events can take advantage of the traditional
western lifestyle and great fun can be had by being involved in a
range of activities from line dancing to mechanical bull riding.
Experiences can be shared by the entire workforce and relationships
developed within the corporate structure whilst the participants have
a tremendous time. Memories will be based on the fun times in a rodeo
arena rather than on any pressures to build or strengthen
relationships within the working arena. Dallas corporate events such
as this give a wonderful platform for strengthening your work team.

There are some superb ranches which include pavilions, ranch houses
and trails and incorporate all the aspects of life in the traditional
west. Events at a ranch house and conference center give you
opportunities to immerse yourself in all the spirit and atmosphere of
the Texan life of the era but with all the comforts and safety
precautions of a modern venue. You will find event spaces with
performance stages and dance floors with wonderful access to scenic
ranch land right on the door step. Being in Dallas, corporate events
such as this will guarantee you an authenticity which can only be
imagined outside the rolling hills and open pastures of Texas.

If you are keen to arrange an event at a western venue. If your
company wishes to pursue a ranch experience, you will find some which
are able to offer horseback trail rides, line dancing and country and
western music, gun fighters and overnight accommodation. Your team can
really learn their strengths and weaknesses whilst sharing an evening
around the campfire out on the trail. Venues go above and beyond and
offer well designed specific team building events.

A team event that incorporates a rodeo challenge will bring your team
together into a high performance and cohesive unit. Life on a ranch
made many demands on team work and although participants will be
having the time of their lives, they will be competing in interactive
group competitions which will rely on teamwork. Events which include
activities such as trail riding during the course of a conference can
really bring a team together.make your group cohesive.

Team building events are becoming increasingly popular as companies
realize the importance of communication, cooperation and creativity.
A venue where the teams are able to benefit from facilitated
presentations with a view to leadership and team-bonding at the same
time as having huge amounts of fun is guaranteed to be a winner.
Corporate events at an authentic Texan ranch are truly an experience
to go crazy for.

About the Author: Chuck R Stewart recently researched Dallas team
building events [1] and Dallas corporate events [2] for his
company's retreat this summer.
